GIENS

On its western part is the Almanarre beach, 4 km long and made up of sand and small pebbles. To the northwest is Robinson's beach, and to the southwest, la Madrague. To the east are the port of Hyères and the beach of La Capte. Because of the distribution of the beaches, there is always one sheltered from the winds and one facing the wind, which allows the practice of funboarding, kitesurfing or windsurfing.

In winter, the Route du Sel, which runs along L'Almanarre, becomes a cycle path and a beloved place for the Hyérois to walk. In summer, sedentary pink flamingos rub shoulders with funny kitesurfing wings.
